Ebru Akgün

Ebru Akgün holds a degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Türkiye and gained early experience in the NGO sector in Brazil. She later pursued Master’s degrees in Social and Cultural Anthropology and in Sustainable Development in Belgium. She is currently undertaking a joint PhD in Political Science and Sociology, focusing on political discourse in the aftermath of disaster events. Alongside her academic work, she has professional experience as a sustainability lobbyist with several Brussels-based organizations. She now works in the Communications Unit of the European Commission’s DG Environment.
