Pradnya Thakur

Pradnya Thakur is a Sustainability Advisor and WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) expert with over 30+ years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, climate resilience, and urban governance. She has led policy, strategy, and implementation initiatives for government agencies, urban local bodies, international organizations, and the private sector, with expertise in water conservation, sanitation, solid waste management, climate action, and community engagement. She currently serves as an Advisor with Palladium Consulting India and is the Founder Director of Shashwat Eco Solution Foundation. Her work has contributed to innovative initiatives such as public toilet policy, sustainability frameworks, rainwater harvesting, and city climate strategies. A recipient of multiple national and international awards, including the Guangzhou Urban Innovation Award and Water Digest–UNESCO recognition, she is widely recognized for advancing sustainable urban development through evidence-based policy, capacity building, and inclusive stakeholder engagement.
