Michal Wiezik

Michal Wiezik is a Slovak Member of the European Parliament, university lecturer, and ecologist. He has dedicated his entire life to nature conservation and has served in the European Parliament since his first mandate in 2019. As a member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI), he focuses on policies that mitigate climate change, promote and protect biodiversity, and safeguard nature reserves, including rivers and marine ecosystems. Within the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI), he advocates for sustainable farming practices and consistently works to improve animal welfare standards.
