Leonidas Kanonis

Leonidas Kanonis is the Director for Communications and Analysis at the European Waste-based & Advanced Biofuels Association (EWABA). Since joining in 2021, he leads media relations, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement, promoting the waste-based biodiesel industry through research projects and industry events. He closely monitors and reports on critical media and market developments affecting the sector. Through EWABA, he coordinates Work Package 5 for the Horizon Europe-funded FUELPHORIA project.

His background includes roles as an energy analyst for a London consultancy and the UK’s Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem). He holds a degree in Environmental Economics from the University of York.
