For Sustainable Food Forum

13 May 2026 Brussels, Belgium

European agricultural policy is at a crossroads. It must respond to growing environmental sustainability demands, rapid technological evolution, and the pressing need to maintain productive capacity while ensuring food remains nutritious, affordable and accessible. At the same time, societal expectations are shifting, and the debate around the future of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) continues to intensify. Across Member States, significant gaps remain between policy ambitions, on-the-ground agricultural practices, and long-term sustainability objectives.

The 2026 For Sustainable Food Forum, organised by the PATHWAYS project, will bring together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and civil society to address these challenges head-on. The Forum aims to help bridge the gap between science, policy and practice, contributing constructively to sustainable solutions for Europe’s agrifood and livestock sectors.

Through dialogue grounded in evidence and practical experience, the event will explore how environmental performance, economic viability and social responsibility can be aligned in the years ahead.

Join us on 13 May 2026 at the Residence Palace in Brussels to be part of the conversation and help shape the pathways towards a more sustainable European food and livestock system.
